Lydia Luth is a Norwegian singer and songwriter making theatrical, emotionally inconvenient music rooted in rock, dark cabaret and a fondness for things that wheeze, scrape and occasionally go oompah.

Brass, accordion and violin weave their way through distorted guitars and crooked rhythms, while the songs themselves tend to linger around the things people leave behind: unfinished conversations, disappearing acts, memory, longing, bad decisions and the occasional heart reaction that really should not have meant that much.

A singer for most of her life and a compulsive writer for almost as long, Lydia values expression over polish — and lyrics that tend to remember more than is strictly useful.

Her debut concept album, Songs for the Ghosted, grew out of exactly that territory.

Lydia lives and works in Norway.
